The Project
The release of Wolfram|Alpha brought a breakthrough in high-precision natural language understanding. Intelligently interpreting a user's free-form input, the computational knowledge engine has interpreted many billions of queries, with the success rate for understanding web queries is now in excess of 95%. But, a demand was present for a more structure input. Enter: Web Apps, a collection of form-based interfaces to assist users with the questions they have at school, at work, and at home.
This project entailed taking xml templates and styling them to fit within Wolfram|Alpha result pages, with a catalog of apps and a form template robust enough to to accommodate hundreds of individual assistants. I designed the templates, the app marketing page, various promotional ads and emails, and the interface of the apps, themselves.
